Arts and Wellness
“It is like hearing my own stories from others. They talk about how everything was so hard at the beginning, when they first came, and I feel ‘these people understand what I am going through.’”
ARTogether’s Arts and Wellness program harnesses the power of creative expression to promote mental health and overall well-being among refugees and immigrants. Serving first and second-generation refugees and immigrants in the Bay Area, the program offers a range of therapeutic art experiences and workshops to build resilience and foster community connections.
We seek to unite people and communities together through art, promoting fellowship, familiarity, and belonging through the following:
- Youth Programs
-
-
- Offering high school students a safe space to explore creativity, build social skills, and develop leadership through art and community-focused activities.
-
- Summer Art Camps
-
-
- Empower children to explore their creativity, build lasting connections, and foster a sense of belonging in a diverse and supportive community.
-
- Arts-based Support Groups
-
-
- Offer a supportive community where adult participants can connect, receive mental wellness support, and create together addressing challenges they face.
-
- Art Workshops and Events
-
- ARTogether provides art workshops through community organizations to all ages. By making art accessible to everyone, exploring trauma-informed creative activities, and bridging cultural gaps, this fosters natural conversations and community building through art.
